Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
We acknowledge that the First Friday of each month was designated by our Savior Himself as a day to be consecrated to honoring his Sacred Heart. As we lift our minds and hearts in prayer, let us place ourselves in the presence of our God and be ever mindful that whenever we gather in his name He is present among us. As we express our ardent love and devotion to Christ we pray:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we consecrate ourselves to Your Most Sacred Heart. Take possession of our whole being; transform us into Yourself. Make our hands Your hands, our feet Your feet, our heart Your heart. Let us see with Your eyes, listen with Your ears, speak with Your lips, love with Your heart, and understand with Your mind. Show us how to serve with your will, and be dedicated with Your whole being. Make us Your other self. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, send us Your Holy Spirit to teach us to love You and to live through You, with You, in You and for You.
We ask these things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
