We praise You and we thank You, O God, for the beauty of creation; for the breath of life; for choosing us to be your partners; for endowing us with the capacity to think, reason, and remember; the potential to create and grow and choose.
We praise You and we thank You, O God, for calling and challenging us to be human and humane; to do well and be good.
Thank You, O God, for bringing our speaker safely to us. May the Holy Spirit be with him as he shares those insights you would have us hear this day.
May those of us gathered listen with mindfulness and attention. May the Holy Spirit move us so that we may more perfectly be a bearer of Christ Jesus, your Son.
May the blessing of God, his peace and love rest upon us. Amen.
