January 2009 Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for bringing us together this afternoon in your name.

Please let us feel with open hearts and hear with open minds that we may listen today with the intent to find even just one idea that we can take back into our lives and better the humanity that surrounds us.

Lord, during these difficult times, give us the courage to look outward to help, instead of inward to worry and grant us the peace in knowing that all will be well in your loving embrace. Grant us faith, that in giving our selves to you, we will know the peace and love that is always there, even when we turn away from you.

We ask that you bless Ms. Weber as she prepares to give her presentation and grant that her words may be a source of inspiration for us all.

With gratitude for all that you provide, we ask your continued blessings.

Amen.
