Lord, we thank you for giving us the opportunity to gather here today.
Almighty God, help us all to have strong faith in you, even when we may not understand what you ask of us. Give us the courage to love you, even when the world that surrounds us insults you. And grant us the trust to follow you, even when we feel afraid and alone.
We are blessed to have the chance to learn about our faith everyday in school. Thank you for all the priests, deacons, nuns, teachers, and all who make a Catholic education possible.
We appreciate all of the gifts you have given us, Lord. Show us the pathway to use them well. Thank you for this meal that we are about to share and for the hands that prepared it.
Please give everyone here the strength to listen and take to heart the messages of faith that we will hear today. In your name, we pray.

Holy Father, God of our yesterdays, our today, and our tomorrows, we praise You for Your infinite greatness and mercy. Help us Lord, to be ever mindful of your love, to worry less and to laugh more. Help us to teach our fellow students to laugh by laughing with them, to teach others to love by loving them. We ask You to help each of us to be a light to those in most need of Your light and love. Help us to come to know Your divine love and to share that love with others. Help us to stop and listen to your word so that we may come to know You better. We rejoice in the world You have loved into being. We pray for peace, light, and hope that we might spread them to others. We rejoice in you O Lord. In Jesus’ name.
