Heavenly Father,
We come to you in this season of hope full of anticipation. We thank you for the joy and wonder of the springtime. We thank you also for the material gifts you bestow upon us daily. Thank you especially for the gift of a Catholic education.
Help us to see your reflection in the eyes of all those whom we encounter. We pray that you inspire us to do what is right and just. We pray that as you walk beside us, you give us the grace to zealously carry out your mission.
In Jesus' name, we pray.

Our Father - In Heaven -
On this beautiful Easter season Spring day, we thank You for sending to us Sister Simone Campbell.
As we listen to her remarks on Faith, Morality and the Federal Budget, we wonder what this world can possibly look like from Your vantage point and what You can possibly be thinking of the globe You created.
We beg that You enlighten our world leaders, and that here in our country, You enable us to choose a leader who will put us back on the right track and help bring peace, faith and morality to our world.
During this, our ninth year, bless our monthly endeavor as we struggle to better understand the issues impacting our lives.
As we prepare to close this First Friday event, may You bring us safe travel (and an appropriate Federal Budget!).
