Dear Lord,
We thank you for the many blessings you bestow on us as we go about our daily lives. We are grateful today for this hour of Christian fellowship, for the ample nourishment for our bodies, and for the inspiration of the story of Father Boyle's life work. And we thank you especially for your gift to our community of those among us whose inspiration years ago created First Friday and whose diligent work continues to nurture its growth.
Lord, let this Lenten season be a time of deepening faith in your boundless goodness and wisdom. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
